Why this unit
A single-bath electropolisher for bringing cast cobalt chrome frameworks to a finish before hand polishing. Work hangs from a suspension bar that spans the tank, so several frameworks run in one cycle at a consistent distance from the electrode instead of being held in by hand one at a time.
The fascia carries two readouts — delivered current above, cycle time below — with a single rotary control for output. Reading current rather than guessing at it is what lets you repeat a result: the same alloy at the same current for the same time comes out the same, and a clasp that has been over-polished does not go back.
This is the single-tank unit. If you need to run two solutions or separate stripping from polishing, the dual-tank LZDZ-I in this catalogue is the machine for that. Bath volume, output range and supply voltage are confirmed on your quotation.
Choosing an electrolytic polisher
- Batch size5,000 ml tank, with the tank itself as the cathode — workpieces polish through 360° with no dead angle, and several castings run at once.
- Process stabilityConstant-current, constant-voltage control with overload and overheat protection, and stepless current adjustment. Safe working current is 25 A — do not run higher.
- Surface prepSandblast castings before electrolytic polishing; oxide layer and investment residue left on the surface ruin the finish.
- Duty cycleLong continuous runs heat the electrolyte. If the surface turns white and dull, stop and let the bath cool before continuing.
