Why this unit
The LZGQ-II is a high-speed cutting lathe for dental laboratories, built around an imported Eagle-brand spindle head that spins at more than 20,000 rpm. It is designed for fast cutting of metal workpieces and can also be used for grinding and polishing operations on the same station.
The machine consists of a drive mechanism, a dedicated fixture with a friction clutch and four-jaw collet, a machine base, a protective shield, dust suction, work lighting, and an electric control section. The collet can be loaded and unloaded while the spindle is turning by operating the clutch handle, which speeds up tool changes between cutting, grinding, and polishing steps.
It is intended for dental technician benches working on metal frameworks and cast restorations. The manufacturer notes that a new head must be run in for 20 minutes with a mandrel fitted before normal use, and the motor must never be started without a bur or mandrel seated in the head.
