Why this unit
The LZZD-III is a laser pindex machine used in dental technical laboratories to drill the pin holes that take dowel pins in gypsum working models. It is built for high drilling accuracy with low noise and simple operation.
The model is placed on the spring-loaded worktable and aligned using the laser positioning spot projected from the head above. Pressing the table straight down brings the model onto the rotating alloy drill bit, and drilling depth is controlled by how far the table travels; a rotary knob adjusts the relative position of table and drill, with a minimum depth adjustment of 0.15 mm. The drill chuck is opened with the supplied wrench for bit changes, and the bit is seated so its shoulder stands about 1 mm above the fully pressed table.
As a precision instrument it should be kept dry, cleaned of plaster dust after use, and the drill bit treated as a consumable that is replaced periodically to keep hole quality consistent.
